Bringing an Australian catering success story to the Middle East.
When the team behind Lunch in a Box made the decision to expand into Riyadh, they understood that replicating a successful Australian catering business in a completely different market would require more than simply opening another kitchen. Every aspect of the operation needed to be carefully planned to ensure the same standards, systems and customer experience could be successfully delivered in an international environment.
I was engaged to work alongside the leadership team, providing operational consultancy throughout the expansion process. Together, we focused on building a scalable business model that considered local market conditions, operational workflows, supplier relationships, menu development and launch planning, while remaining true to the values that had made the brand successful in Australia.
The objective was not simply to launch another venue, but to establish a sustainable operation with the foundations to support long-term growth throughout the Middle East. By combining practical hospitality experience with proven operational strategies, we created systems that could be implemented confidently from day one.
Today, the Riyadh operation demonstrates how the right planning, operational structure and strategic guidance can successfully translate a proven hospitality concept into an entirely new market.
